You are aware that I am only previewing this MNF game because it is my two favorite teams.  I will not root for either team, and I will not care who wins (although I did pick the Pack in my fantasy thingie – by 3).  I love these two teams.  There’s something about teams with heart, and their associated cities/fan bases with similar heart, that I just…well, HEART.  I thought about doing this post last week, but wanted to wait until today – relevance, you know – and I hope I can keep it on a smooth path.  And awwwaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy we go!

Saints RB vs Packers LB:

Reggie isn’t playing, and Deuce just isn’t hot.  So, instead, I’ll preview rookie Mike Bell for the Saints.  He (and Deuce) will be up against a D-Line that’s just so-so at stopping the run.  I picked a LB to represent the run-stop…Desmond Bishop.

Packers RB vs Saints LB:

When he’s actually doing his job, Ryan Grant may be worth his money.  It took him (and apparently, Coach McCarthy) about halfway into the season to get the running game going again.  I picked Saints LB Scott Shanle to rep that team – because he’s the best looking LB, duh.

Saints WR vs Packers Secondary:

The #1 passing offense versus the awesome Packers secondary.  I don’t think I have to introduce the WR I’ll be using.  :-)   However, it’s a tough time picking one of the guys on the other side of the coin to choose as the representative…so, I went with the hottest: Jarrett Bush.

Packers WR vs Saints Secondary:

I picked a couple of newbies for this one.  There are other, more-experienced, guys to be had, but why not get a young one that you can train?? Grr.  I present to you Jordy Nelson for the Pack and Usama Young for the Saints.

Kickers:

FAIL.  Moving on…

Now that took the wind out of my sails. :)   I’ll probably watch tonight, just because I love football, and I think this will be a good game.  If I HAD to pick, I’d stick with the Pack.  Either way, I’ll be fine with the outcome.
