Thoughts from the Archangel

Ah, so much has happened since I have last posted.  Mostly, I’ve either been busy or lazy, so the writing thing hasn’t happened.  So, now, it’s catch-up time.  I’m always trying to do this in fun and somewhat interesting ways, so here’s a new one.  In line with the Jay-Z and Ja Rule song “Can I get a…”, I’m going to line out some random thoughts.  Hold on to your lunchbox…

• Fuck you to the incessant crap of Michael Jackson now?  Yes, he died, and that’s sad.  It’s time to move on, people!  Amazingly enough, there have been lots of other – more important – people who have passed away since then, and I am still hearing about Michael Jackson.  Make it stop…
• What the fuck? for the massive amount of mosquitoes that have emerged seemingly only to bite the shit out of me recently?  This is why it is a bad idea to go to my in-laws’ place in the summer.  Do you know that the mosquito is the state bird of Michigan?  It’s not, really, but it may as well be, as big and as prolific as those damned things are there.
• Scram! Get out of here! to the FSB whose work I have recently shredded reviewed.  It was terrible.  I don’t think this line of work is her cup of tea.
• Eeee! to and for my adopted solider!  I can’t tell you anything about him – or I’d have to kill you – but the first official care package is in my car ready for shipment today.
• holy hell! to the number of soldiers that are in need of adoption over at Soldiers’ Angels!  When I signed up, there were almost 500.  Now, there are 783 just waiting for someone nice enough to send them notes and snacks and things.  I highly recommend it.  I haven’t felt this good about being nice to someone in a very long time.
• massive eye roll for Marian Hossa for his “public” reas0ns for signing a fat contract with the Blackhawks?  Once again, he states he’s going for the team that he thinks is going to get to carry around Lord Stanley’s Cup.  That’s all well and good until you see that the ‘hawks offered just a little bit more on their 12-year deal than the Red Wings were going to…suspect?  I think so.
• aw, hell to the hemorrhaging of players who have left the Wings from free agency?  Hossa, as stated above, Mikael Samuelsson, Daryn Haydar, Tomas Kopecky, and hottie goalie Ty Conklin have already parted ways with the Winged Wheel.  Jiri Hudler is going into arbitration…come on, now!
• loud chorus of boos to the people who voted in the following to the All-Star game:  Mark Teixeira, Derek Jeter, Ichiro Suzuki, Josh Hamilton, Prince Fielder, and Miguel Tejada.  It’s just opinion, so don’t get all worked up.
• round of applause to the people who voted in the following to the All-Star game: Joe Mauer, Mark Buehrle, Justin Verlander, Curtis Granderson, and Ladies… favorite Tim Lincecum.  Yeah, it’s just because I like these players in one way or another.
• bit of motivation because now I need to go and do some work.  Before I go…you guessed it, Hot Guy Pic!
